Touch and pain enter the dorsal horn, project over 3 segments in the dorsal lateral fasciculus, synapse on dendrites of nucleus proprius, the axons cross in the ventral white commissure where if joins the ascending pain pathway (ALS) on the contralateral ventrolateral cord.
